William Hundley: Draco
By GRN | November 18, 2008
Austin-based photographer William Hundley’s work intervenes in reality, harnessing his inner trickster with the yoke of labor-intensive post-production. His staged and manipulated street scenes generate ghostly, floating forms using a mysterious digital alchemy that incorporates straight photography, props, and models. While they do distort the truth, Hundley’s fun-house scenarios are more than mere tricks: they gently erode assumptions about how much to trust what we see.
